Food is at the heart of nearly every celebration, and the High’s Centennial is no exception. Join us for a special evening exploring The Recipe Collection, a cookbook published by The Member’s Guild of the High in 1981. The Member’s Guild was a volunteer organization that created the cookbook to sell and raise money that went toward museum acquisitions, exhibitions, and educational programs. They received rave reviews and went on to sell over 40,000 copies. Since then, the book has been printed 3 more times the last being an expanded edition. We have reprinted the original for this special occasion.
Four Atlanta chefs were asked to delve into the cookbook and find a recipe they wanted to make for this program. Chefs Craig Richards (Elise and Lyla Lila), Steven Satterfield (Miller Union and Madeira Park),and J. Trent Harris (Mujo) will discuss what inspired their choices and why keeping history alive through food is important. Post conversation, join the chefs for a tasting of each dish. Enjoy an evening of discovery, connection, and fun as we celebrate this historic milestone.
We look forward to sharing a bite and raising a glass to 100 years of The High.
